AI Tool Price Watch — Week of March 29, 2026
This week: 36 new tools added to our database, Originality.ai pricing confirmed via structured data, and CapCut doubles its Pro subscription price.
Every week, our pricing engine scans the official pricing pages of 237 AI tools to catch price changes, new free tiers, and disappearing deals. Here is what changed this week.
This is the first edition of our weekly Price Watch series. We plan to publish these every Monday so you always know what is happening with AI tool pricing — before it hits your credit card.
36 New Tools Added to Our Database
We expanded from 202 to 237 tools this week, adding coverage across 7 new categories.
New categories: AI Detection (Originality.ai, Sapling), AI SEO (Moz, Clearscope), Chatbots (Chatbase, Botpress), Website Builders (Hostinger AI, 10Web, Mixo, Unicorn Platform), Photo Editing (Pixlr, Topaz Labs), Notes and Knowledge (Heptabase, Obsidian, Roam Research), and AI Assistants (Lindy, SaneBox).
All prices were verified using our engine v4.0 — which now extracts structured data (JSON-LD) from pricing pages for near-perfect accuracy. Tools that showed pricing in non-USD currencies (INR, EUR) were flagged for manual verification.
Notable Pricing Findings
Originality.ai confirmed at $14.95 per month (Pro plan) via JSON-LD structured data — the most accurate extraction method. Their Enterprise plan is $179 per month. Pay-as-you-go is $30 for 3,000 credits.
Chatbase offers a free tier with 30 messages per month. Their Hobby plan starts at $40 per month — positioned between the free chatbot builders and enterprise solutions like Intercom.
Pixlr at $2.49 per month is the cheapest photo editing tool in our database. For casual editors, there is no reason to pay for Adobe or Canva just for photo editing.
SaneBox at $3.49 per month is the cheapest email management tool — less than the price of a coffee. It filters your inbox automatically so you only see what matters.
CapCut Price Increase
CapCut (by ByteDance) has doubled its Pro subscription price from $89.99 per year to $179.99 per year — a 100 percent increase. The monthly price is now approximately $19.99 per month. Features that were previously free, including 1080p exports and auto-captions, have been moved behind paid plans.
If you are looking for alternatives, Opus Clip ($15 per month) is excellent for short-form content, and VEED.io ($18 per month) offers browser-based editing with team collaboration.
Tools We Could Not Verify This Week
9 tools were blocked by Cloudflare when our engine tried to access their pricing pages: Copyleaks, Winston AI, Ahrefs, CapCut, Publer, ManyChat, Luminar Neo, AgentGPT, and Clockwise. These are being verified manually.
8 tools showed pricing in local currencies (INR or EUR) instead of USD: VEED.io, SuperAGI, Photoroom, Clipdrop, scite, AIVA, Rise Calendar, and Tolgee. We are working on adding currency detection to our engine.
All prices in our database are monthly billed monthly — never annual. If a tool only offers annual billing, we note that on the tool page.
What to Watch Next Week
We are continuing to verify pricing for 34 additional tools that need manual checks. Expect our database to grow to 270 or more tools by next week.
If you spot a wrong price on any tool page, use the Report Wrong Price link at the bottom of every tool page. We verify every report within 48 hours.
